Can you believe it is December already? Seriously. Where did the year go? I hope you all enjoyed your Thanksgiving break!
As for birthdays this month, we only have one to celebrate and that is for Chris. He will celebrate on the 17th of this month! Be sure to wish him a happy birthday!
In other family news...Crystal, our sweet sister missionary is almost done with her mission. She will return home from Brazil sometime in March of 2011. She has been an awesome missionary serving the people of Brazil. Cindy and Rondo have done a fabulous job of keeping everyone updated on her mission through this blog: http://crystaldegen.blogspot.com/ ! It's been so fun staying up to date on her progress this past year. There is also a mailing address you can use to send her some holiday love. {most likely she won't get it until after the holidays but I know she loves letters!}
Also, my sweet Dylan goes in for another MRI scan sometime in the next month or so, we don't have an appointment yet. But can I beg and plead for more prayers for him. He is doing great! He has been of chemotherapy for 7 months and has been symptom free ever since. These scans just unravel a bunch of nerves for us so please please please say a little prayer for our family and for Dylan. The tumor is still in there, and always will be, but as long as it isn't doing anything besides "sitting there," we are good to go on living a normal life!
The holidays are upon us! Enjoy your time with your family and friends. I know our calendar is filling up this month with family parties, work parties, ward parties, and lots of shopping and traveling. Be safe! And remember the reason for the season!
Love you all!

November
November is a busy month for Russ and Janiel's family as well as Mama Finn's family. They will celebrate Tyler's birthday today November 4th!!! And then Janiel and Jocelyn will both celebrate on the 11th.
Mama Finn and family will celebrate Natalie's birthday on the 7th followed by Skyler on the 9th then Scotty boy on the 28th and me on the 29th.
Yay for November birthdays!
It seems like this time of year goes by really fast. I try so hard to make the holidays special and the next thing I know they're over and it's the start of a new year. This year I have decided to blog about one thing that I am thankful for everyday in November. Check out the Mogle family blog to view our list!
Happy Thanksgiving.

Just a little something that's been on my mind
Last year, about this time, I had the idea to start making a list of the memories that I have of Grandpa Bauer. The list started out as just simple memories like:
he always had a cookie when we came to visit
Thanksgiving at his house
that little bell thing that hung by the kitchen
climbing the tree in the front yard
searching for night crawlers so we could go fishing
helping him pull weeds in the front flower bed
living a few doors down from him
learning how to pull weeds
learning how to fix a flat tire
he ALWAYS fixed my flat bike tires
the time he bonked Chad and Scott's heads together for fighting :) (true story)
Just little memories like that.
Well lately, I have had this thought, nudging of the spirit, prompting come to me over and over again that I need to write down my memories of grandpa....but along with writing down my memories I feel impressed to share this thought with all you. We all know Grandpa will be turning 90 next year and while I have a hard time imagining him not with us....his time on this earth with us is growing shorter.
And so I want to invite all of you to join me in writing down your thoughts and memories of grandpa, whether it's little memories like I shared above or thoughts about how he has made a difference or inspired you in your own life.
I'm not really sure where else to go with all this except that I know it is something that I am supposed to share with you and invite you to take some time to think about.
I love Grandpa so much and feel such a special bond to him, as I'm sure YOU all do.....so if you get some time I would invite you write down your thoughts in a journal, on a scrap paper, something....anything....and hang on to your lists....I might ask you to share some of your thoughts!
love you all

October News
Lets start with some really exciting news:
Aunt Sharon is going through the temple. The best part....YOU are all invited. She will be going through on Saturday October 9th at 10:00 am (Utah time). After the endowment session she will be sealed to Dan. That session will begin at 12:00. After the temple session we will meet EVERYONE over at Chuck-a-Rama for a late lunch/early dinner. We are thinking we will be done around 2:00 (somewhere close to that time anyway :). I know Sharon is very excited for this and would love to see everyone.
I also just got in touch with Trish and she let me know that she and her family just built and moved into their new home in Eagle Mountain. As soon as she sends me a picture I will post it! Congratulation Trish and Brian.
As for birthdays this month, we have the following to celebrate!
Shelbie will turn 18 on the 10th
Russ will celebrate on the 13th
Andy will celebrate on the 18th
and Kirstie will turn 18 on the 28th
Happy Happy Birthday!
Hope to see you all next weekend!

My Mother...
She is fabulous, a little crazy and ridiculous at times but, she is fabulous.
She reminded me to update this blog.
oops!
Lets start with birthdays...we have three
On May 18th, our sweet sister missionary, who is serving in the jungles of South America, turned 23. Yep, that's right our sweetest Crystal celebrated her 23rd year of life with the wonderful people of Brazil. You can read about her little celebration {here}.
Miss Cloey Jo shares her birthday with Crystal. She turned 9. Cloey loves Tinkerbell and since it was her birthday she got to have a Tinkerbell party with her family.
Cloey's momma Ericka, will celebrate her 25th {wink, wink} on May 27th. Um, Ericka loves full body massages, pedicures and.....you know stuff like that {did you catch the hint Chris?}
And, on to other things....
The Bauer Family Reunion is coming up. June 5th is the big day. We are doing breakfast at the park this year. No grumbling...you can get up early and have breakfast or you can sit in the heat and eat lunch....no grumbling, it says so in the scriptures.....or was it murmuring? Either way, it's gonna be a lot of fun so make plans to be here!
A few more things....are you still reading?
um, Shelbie is the 1st attendant for the Miss Mt. Pleasant Rodeo Queen. She is so awesome. She is learning so many new things about herself and life in general. She loves her horses, riding, and showing off that shiny new belt buckle. Conrats Shelbo. love ya :)
And one last thing. Mama Finn had her second hip replacement and she is doing FaBuLoUs! I haven't seen her yet, but when she tells me she is out and about, shopping....I have to assume she is doing quite well. Can't wait to see you...your hips don't lie :)
Happy May, see you in a few weeks!
ps. If you haven't signed up to bring food for the reunion call Mama Finn aka Pamela, or email her.

Valley of Fire
It's getting that time of year again....
The Seven Sisters Reunion held at the Valley of Fire.
Grandpa and Grandma Nell are getting their bags packed and ready for the big event. And they hope to see lots and lots of family there.
So mark your calendars for the last Saturday in February. It's always a good time. And what better excuse to get out of the snow and cold than a family reunion!
Hope to see you all there.

Happy New Year
I love the beginning of a new year. I find myself setting new goals. Resolutions to be a better mom, wife, daughter, friend, neighbor......
So many of us set New Year's Resolutions only to see the year end and those goals we set, well, they go unfulfilled. Again. Year after year we swear we are going to lose weight. Get out of debt. Paint the living room. Go back to college.
This year I invite you to
Sit down.
Think.
Visualize.
Ponder what it really is you want to accomplish this year.
Then write down your goals. Be realistic. What do you really want to accomplish this year? Who is going to help you? What are the little steps you have to take to reach your goal?
Then go to work. Make it happen. Improve your life. Be better.
Whatever your goals may be...I hope 2010 is a year of personal success for YOU!
Now onto birthdays:
Chad celebrates tomorrow, January 6th
Whitney turns sweet 16 on the 9th.....thanks for the reminder Trish!
Lindsey will celebrate on the 14th
Rob will party like a rockstar on the 18th
and Brian will celebrate on the 21st
Happy Birthday to all of you
Now onto some family news.....
Uncle Russ was just called to be the 2nd Counselor in the bishopric for his ward. We are so excited for him. Best wishes to him and his family. I know that Russ and his family will be blessed for his service to his ward family. Congratulations Uncle Russ!
Grandpa wanted me to remind the family about the Seven Sisters Family Reunion. As always we will meet at the Valley of Fire, on the last Saturday in February. Mark your calendars and we hope to see lots of you there!
Finally, the Bauer Family Reunion will be held on June 5th here in sunny St. George. We are planning to do a morning breakfast/brunch at a local park. Plenty of sunshine, food, family, and fun. So mark your calendars and watch your mailbox for more details! Mama Finn is in charge so if you have more questions you can call her, or email Tara taramogle@hotmail.com, or leave a comment on this blog!
