Just a little something that's been on my mind

Last year, about this time, I had the idea to start making a list of the memories that I have of Grandpa Bauer. The list started out as just simple memories like:

he always had a cookie when we came to visit
Thanksgiving at his house
that little bell thing that hung by the kitchen
climbing the tree in the front yard
searching for night crawlers so we could go fishing
helping him pull weeds in the front flower bed
living a few doors down from him
learning how to pull weeds
learning how to fix a flat tire
he ALWAYS fixed my flat bike tires
the time he bonked Chad and Scott's heads together for fighting :) (true story)

Just little memories like that.
Well lately, I have had this thought, nudging of the spirit, prompting come to me over and over again that I need to write down my memories of grandpa....but along with writing down my memories I feel impressed to share this thought with all you. We all know Grandpa will be turning 90 next year and while I have a hard time imagining him not with us....his time on this earth with us is growing shorter.
And so I want to invite all of you to join me in writing down your thoughts and memories of grandpa, whether it's little memories like I shared above or thoughts about how he has made a difference or inspired you in your own life.
I'm not really sure where else to go with all this except that I know it is something that I am supposed to share with you and invite you to take some time to think about.

I love Grandpa so much and feel such a special bond to him, as I'm sure YOU all do.....so if you get some time I would invite you write down your thoughts in a journal, on a scrap paper, something....anything....and hang on to your lists....I might ask you to share some of your thoughts!

love you all
Tara
